The great Roadrunner!

During rest, the roadrunner’s body temperature drops to conserve energy. As the sun rises after a chilly desert night, this particular roadrunner “falls” out of a small tree and hops up on my fence.  While they are very graceful on the ground…in air…not so much. Once steady, the bird turns his back to the sun and opens his wings to allow the rays to warm his body to get him ready for the day.

AHHHH…The warming rays of the sun!

As Believers in Christ, we too need to bask in the warmth of the Son to ready, and steady, us for the day. Warming us from head to toe, through and through.

Romans 8:38-39 (AMP)  For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Message puts it in even more definitive terms…

None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.

How warm is THAT?

In Him,
