Junk

Junk

Years ago, I had a magnet on my fridge with a picture of a very cute, wide-eyed puppy and the words… “I know I’m somebody ’cause God don’t make no junk”.

The cares of the world have a way of getting us down. Wrong decisions, failures, losses, heartaches can leave us with a feeling of worthlessness. It is so easy to loose sight of who we are in God’s eyes.

God’s love is unending and unfailing.

Psalms 36:5-7(MSG) God’s love is meteoric, his loyalty astronomic, His purpose titanic, his verdicts oceanic. Yet in his largeness nothing gets lost; Not a man, not a mouse, slips through the cracks. How exquisite your love, O God! How eager we are to run under your wings,

And…

Psalms 139:14 (ESV) I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

Grab hold of that! “Fearfully and wonderfully made” and God’s works ARE wonderful, are they not?

God knew you before you were born.

Jeremiah 1:5(AMP) Before I formed you in the womb I knew [and] approved of you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.

Did you catch that? He KNEW you and APPROVED of you! How awesome is THAT?!?!

From the top of your head you are precious to God.

Luke 12:7(AMP) But [even] the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not be struck with fear or seized with alarm; you are of greater worth than many [flocks] of sparrows.

So precious Jesus tells us even the angels in Heaven rejoice over you!

Luke 15:7(MSG) Celebrate with me! I’ve found my lost sheep!’ Count on it—there’s more joy in heaven over one sinner’s rescued life than over ninety-nine good people in no need of rescue.

So much so He told us twice in just a few verses…

Luke 15:10(AMP) Even so, I tell you, there is joy among and in the presence of the angels of God over one [especially] wicked person who repents (changes his mind for the better, heartily amending his ways, with abhorrence of his past sins).

Can you take a moment and just imagine the kind of party that is?!?!

Oh my dear beloved brothers and sisters in Christ…when the trials of life generate the feelings of worthlessness in your hearts, take a few minutes and remember just who you really are in Christ. Refuse to allow the enemy to steal your thunder!

Remember…God don’t make no junk!

In Him,
Gypsy
